Currently hiring a AP Specialist to assist in the finance department at YCS.

Duties include but not limited too:

• Oversee Accounts Payable including the timely and accurate payments to vendors.
• Assist with New GL System Implementation
•  Identify improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of Accounts Payable including the elimination of paper and a fomalized process for scanning and elimination of rework due to payment issues identified
• ·Responsible for the End to End Cycle of Accounts Payable from validation of vendors against OFAC list, to electronic
• submission of invoices, to electronica payments
• · Responsible for the day to day operations of Accounts Payable (AP) including the timely processing of all invoices weekly
• including the elimination of paper
• · Partnering with Management regarding payment terms
• · Responsible for review of weekly disbursements, identifying missing invoices and providing recommendations for
• payment
• · Responsible for maintaining and updating policy / procedure regarding payment processes for vendors and employees
• including supporting documentation requirements
• · Support data requests for audits
• · Improvement Opportunities will include the elimination of paper by formalizing a scanning process which is organized
• and maximizes the ability through proper naming conventions to find documentation on sharepoint
• · Monitoring and ensure compliance with GAAP, DOE and contracts
• · Monitor and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices to ensure proper cutoff for the GL
• · Compliance with Agency requirements including all training modules and policies/procedures
• · Research issues in financial records including identifying root cause with the goal of preventing errors in the future
• · Assist with the new GL implementation by July 2023
• · Other areas related to Agency requirements as needed

Requirements: 

• Minimum professional and educational background desired (include years of experience) a.
• Minimum 10-15 years of Accounts Payable, with last 3-5 years in a supervisor role, preferably in a Non-Profit Entity
• High school diploma or Bachelor degree in Accounting is a plus.
